When you come to Nevada, we like to say that you will go home with more stories than souvenirs. If you visit Goldfield, you can have both. When traveling the Electric Highway—US 95—don’t brush Goldfield off, this place certainly has more than meets the eye and the ELITE Trading Post is a prime example.
Family owned and operated, visitors can rub elbows with the mega-friendly proprietors and snag a one-of-a-kind Nevada memento. They seems to have something for everyone, including antiques, books, collectables, jewelry, lamps, bottles, vintage radios, an impressive collection of pocketknives and even some old Ezra Brooks decanters. They have cool finds from all over the place, but specialize in funky Nevada finds.
Grab a Nevada keepsake, then ask for some tips on unsuspectingly cool things to check out while visiting Goldfield. Perhaps they can shed some light on the historical cemetery, where you can discover gravestones with inscriptions like, “Man died eating library paste,” or suggest that you rub elbows with the Meanest Bartender in Nevada at the Santa Fe, or even snap some funky selfies at the International Car Forest of the Last Church.
Once you give Goldfield a chance, you too will see that your time here is very well spent. Begin your trip to central Nevada off with a visit to Goldfield’s ELITE Trading Post. You’ll be glad you did.
